The front desk staff, Tuyen and Tam, were especially helpful. During the busy Tet holiday, they found us a cab for a city day tour and, more importantly, a bus ticket to the next town. The room was clean, everything worked, and it had a fridge and a 55 inch LG TV with HDMI. At $18 a night, the price was very reasonable. Dalat didn’t call for A/C while we were there. I’d happily stay again and recommend it.

The room was clean and the balcony was a nice touch, but it was the front desk team that really made the stay feel like home. Tuyen and her colleague went out of their way to help us. When we couldn’t find a bus online during Tet, Tuyen booked tickets to our next town and explained everything we needed to know. They also arranged a great driver for our day trip. At check-in, Duyen was friendly, efficient, and helpful. Leaving was just as quick and smooth. I paid $16 a night, and the room was clean, with cute decor, comfortable pillows, and a mattress that was firm without being rock hard. The balcony was tiny. There was a small minibar with two Tiger beers, a 7-up, and a coke, each can priced reasonably at 20K. Tea, coffee, and water were included daily. There’s no air conditioning, just a ceiling fan. When I arrived at 20:30, the fan was on and the room felt really cold. Da Lat can be chilly in December, so Duyen kindly brought me another blanket. The noise outside was the main problem. Loud music, shouting, and laughter carried on every night and kept me awake, which brought my rating down to 4/5 overall. Without that, I’d have given it 5/5. My room rating was 3/5, while check-in and check-out were both 5/5.

For the price, you get what you pay for, and the value is good. The staff were friendly, but there were ants in the room, the curtains let in quite a bit of light, and noise from the area was loud, with echoes in the corridor.
