Rooms are inexpensive, clean, and have hot water, though there’s little soundproofing. They’re close to popular places to eat, and right next to the hotel you can get tasty steamed pork buns and grilled rice paper rolls with snails and meat.

The only thing I liked was the cheap price 😆😆. The location is near the city center, not too crowded, and convenient for getting around, but the weekday noise was unbearable. The hotel is opposite a primary school, so I heard children’s music in the mornings and students shouting all afternoon. At night, noise came from other rooms. My large room had a dirty, moldy balcony, and the curtains were in four pieces on four horizontal bars rather than two halves, so sunlight came through easily. I lost the helmet while renting a motorbike from the shop and had to buy another. When I asked the owner to check the security camera footage, he made all sorts of excuses. He offered to let me keep the helmet and deduct its cost, but didn’t follow through. I rented an AB motorbike from the hotel, but it felt a bit weak and wasn’t as good on Da Lat’s steep roads as one from a rental service. Late checkout wasn’t allowed without paying. I checked out around 6 PM, and they charged 200k for a small room, basically the price of staying a whole night.

Over two days, there was no hot water for one of them, even though it was 9°C. The room wasn’t cleaned on the second day. It was a double room for four people, so we got just two towels and two bottles of water.

I booked through Agoda for August 31st to September 1st, and it was great that the owner let me check in very early when a room was available. The space was clean and luxurious, and I felt very comfortable during my holiday. The hot water system worked really well 💚
