Le Tuan Minh Hotel Dalat

The location is good for walking into the city center, and the second room we were moved to was much better. It was larger, with two beds. But the first room absolutely reeked of cheap men’s aftershave. We aired it out and the smell was still overpowering, so we had to complain because there was no way we could stay in it. That room was also filthy, with broken-looking features and torn curtains. I can’t attach all the photos here, so check my Google reviews. The fridge smelled awful and didn’t work properly. And why were there seven toothbrushes for two people? The hotel and rooms are very shabby. I suppose that’s what comes with the low price we paid, but these little things wouldn’t take much to fix. It was also hard to explain the problem to staff because they spoke no English, which is totally understandable.

The place is cheap, but it was disgusting. Our room was dirty and dusty, the sheets were stained, and there was hair on the bed. It felt like they hadn’t been changed. There wasn’t even a window. We also had a terrible experience with the motorbike rental. We took one for two days, but it was handed over with an empty tank, so we had to fill it up straight away. It rained a lot and we didn’t end up using the bike, but they refused to return even half the fuel money we asked for. Terrible customer service. Do yourself a favor and stay away.

We had a poor experience. The hotel was dirty, including the blankets and tea cups, and communication was difficult because nobody spoke English. We rented a bike for two days and paid for petrol, but it rained and we didn’t use the bike at all. We asked to get back just the petrol cost, 50k out of the 70k, and nothing for the 240k bike rental, but they couldn’t refund it.

I’m in Da Lat for work once a month and keep coming back to this hotel. The rooms are always clean, it’s quiet, and they always give me a discount. Honestly, I’d rather people didn’t know about the place.
