Ngoc Phat Dalat Hotel

The lake view from the balcony was lovely, and the rooms were clean. Ngoc Phat Hotel is in the city center near Ho Xuan Huong Lake. Breakfast had a good selection of food and was clean, and the dining staff helped make the morning pleasant. The front desk was friendly and answered my questions. Mr. Hoang in particular was kind and sweet. Thanks to everyone.

The location is the standout: the hotel sits right below a mall and lots of restaurants, which makes it easy to grab a snack or water late at night. Everything else about the hotel was ridiculously awesome too.

This was the worst place I’ve ever stayed. We booked three rooms, and each had only one small bed for two people. The walls and doors let through music, drilling, and footsteps in the morning. One bathroom window gave no privacy at all. My sister had to shower in ice-cold water because we couldn’t adjust the temperature, while my father had only boiling water in his room and got badly burned. When we asked for our money back, they refused until my dad threatened to sue over his burn. Only then did they apologize and refund us. If I could, I’d give it -5 stars.

The hotel is in a quieter part of town, with a few places to eat nearby if you don’t want to go into the busier areas. It seemed to cater more to local tourists visiting Da Lat. Our room was large and well appointed, with a comfortable bed, and there was a great view over the square to the lake. Breakfast choices were limited and the coffee wasn’t very good. The town itself is lovely and well worth a visit.
