Omirita Resort Dalat

My cash went missing from my room while I was out at breakfast. I asked the staff to review the CCTV, and at first they said they'd send me the footage. Later, they said the cameras had suddenly stopped working. They dealt with the situation very badly and took no responsibility. I then read other guests' reviews and found several similar reports of belongings going missing. That makes me seriously question the resort's management and security. My stay was frustrating and disappointing, and I strongly advise others against staying at Omirita Resort.

The bathroom was the main drawback in my room. It was small, with the bath and toilet sharing one space, and no proper door, which isn't convenient when sharing with roommates. The film on the toilet's glass door was on the wrong side, so people outside the room could see in and privacy was compromised. I visited on 2 September, during Vietnam's National Holiday. While many places were crowded, noisy and full of traffic, the resort still felt calm, peaceful and spacious, with cool weather to enjoy. It offers good value for a vacation, with cared-for gardens and lovely hill and mountain views. The restaurant also has a beautiful view surrounded by nature. Rooms are roomy and bright, with green views, and the staff were welcoming and helpful. Dinner has to be ordered at least an hour ahead. If you get up early, you can order coffee, but the breakfast buffet doesn't begin until 7 AM. That could be a little late if you want to enjoy the birdsong, pleasant weather and views with a drink beforehand. A good option for families or business visits if you like a quiet, scenic setting.

It's set on a remote hillside beside nature, with French architecture, and is nicely furnished. The resort offers good service, including WiFi around the grounds, shuttle or cab transportation, and breakfast. There isn't air conditioning or a fan in the room, so you open the windows for a breeze. That also lets in insects like mosquitoes. The room has a storage water heater supplying the taps and shower.

The breakfast spot is especially lovely on a misty morning, with a wonderful mountain view. There's not a huge choice of food, but the hotel is clean and well kept. Rooms aren't soundproof, so for a view of the pine forest, I'd pick one with the large glass windows behind the bed. Omirita Resort Dalat sits among the pines, not far from the city.
