Orchid Hotel

The biggest issue for us was the noise. We could hear other guests in the hall because the walls don't block much sound, and traffic was also noticeable from the busy street, with the usual steady scooter and car horns in Vietnam. One of us is a light sleeper, so it's something to keep in mind. We stayed six nights at Orchid Hotel, and the staff were friendly from the moment we arrived. Our modern, clean room had enough storage for two large backpacks, two smaller day packs and all our clothes. The washroom was great, especially the efficient shower, and there was a little fridge for cold drinks and a kettle. Housekeeping was available daily, and the WiFi was reliable and strong. The bed was so firm that we woke up with sore backs, hips and shoulders each morning. We asked for a pad, but because they were in demand, we only got one for the last three nights. If you aren't used to a very firm mattress, ask about an extra pad before checking in. Breakfast is available for 105,000d, though there are some excellent local choices just a few metres away. Nearby, there's a great coffee shop, two good breakfast places and a park for exercise, about a 15-minute walk away. Great value for a short stay in Da Lat.

The location is a little outside the center, which suited us because it was quieter in the evenings. My partner and I stayed for three nights before Tet, and we'd stay again if we return. The rooms were spotless and professionally presented, and daily cleaning was available if we wanted it. Breakfast each morning was hearty, with eggs, bread, yogurt and more. The owners were so friendly and helpful, and the service was five star. We had a wonderful week in a beautiful, well-appointed room, with free WiFi, water and hot showers. Breakfast was delicious and varied, with fresh eggs, bread, noodles, rice, fruit, yogurt and more. We also hired a scooter from them. Highly recommended.

We had a fantastic family stay at Orchid Hotel Da Lat. The hotel car made it easy to visit Da Lat's sights, and the staff were warm from the moment we arrived and went out of their way to make us feel at home. The family room was roomy, and we appreciated having an extra sink outside the bathroom. Everything was exceptionally clean, fresh and well maintained. The shower had great pressure, and the little touches were lovely, including a powerful hair dryer and soft dressing gowns. Breakfast was delicious and generous, with something for everyone, and the WiFi worked well throughout the hotel. There are plenty of small mini marts and restaurants within walking distance, as well as the lake. The main market area is just a few minutes away by Grab. We'd highly recommend Orchid Hotel Da Lat to anyone looking for a comfortable, spotless and welcoming place.
