TTR Joy Apart Hotel

For a very cheap, simple, short stay in Da Lat, this is a decent option, probably a 2 or 3 star hotel. It’s quiet and off the beaten path. There’s no AC, just a fan, and I woke up a bit sweaty even though I slept okay overall. No breakfast is provided. The sheer curtains instead of standard blackout curtains really affected my view of the hotel because I’m sensitive to light and it makes sleeping much harder. The room wasn’t that clean, but at least the shower had hot water. All things considered, we didn’t think it was a bad place to stay.

The bed was warm and cozy, and the staff were welcoming and friendly. The place was generally clean, though the equipment felt a bit old. The bathroom was cramped, and the glass shower door in my room was broken. Water pressure was low too, so we couldn't run two showers at once.

Nhâm was a huge help throughout our stay. She got us settled, tracked down the yoga mat we'd lost during our Intercity trip, and even helped us get tickets for the next leg of our adventure. With her around, we knew we were in good hands. The location is the best in the city, too.

The rooms were much older than the photos suggested, and that made them feel dirty. Sound carries straight through the walls, so we could hear what was going on at reception. After 10pm, reception staff started loading drink cans into the fridge, and the noise woke us up. We arrived excited, but the room quality let us down. They seem to have little idea of hospitality.
