Almanity Hoi An Resort & Spa

The bikes were a real bonus, good quality and well maintained, and the location worked well for both the beach and Old Town. We had five memorable days in Hoi An and were so glad we stayed here. The hotel and front gardens were lovely, especially the pool and fish pond, and everything was spotlessly clean. Staff were excellent. Breakfast was a fantastic buffet with a huge choice of local and international food. Great value for money, and I’d come back any time.

It was quieter than I expected during my early June stay, and the hotel is larger than I’d thought. The rooms are spacious, with quiet air conditioning and a ceiling fan. I enjoyed the calm pool area, with both sun and shade. It’s close enough to walk to the old town, but far enough away from the annoying touts. Hoi An is quite charming beyond the old town too.

We’ve been to this resort twice, and it’s still amazing. The staff are friendly and so helpful, the restaurants are great, and the breakfast buffet is one of the best I’ve seen. Room service has a great menu and the food is really tasty. It’s about a five-minute walk from Hoi An old town, with lots of food and shops nearby. The wellness spa was wonderful. We had a one-hour couples massage and half an hour in the jacuzzi, and came out feeling like jelly. The accessible room suited me as someone who is semi-ambulant, and it was spacious. But a full-time wheelchair user could struggle to maneuver in the bathroom or get onto the bed, and the pool and wellness spa have stepped access. I’ve added accessibility captions to my photos. The foyer, restaurants, and walkways are accessible, with ramps where there are steps, but the pool and day spa areas aren’t.

The pool and grounds are amazing, clean, and the staff are helpful without hovering. Breakfast had a huge range of choices, everything was replenished, and the area was impeccably clean. Staff explained the dishes, including the hot options. We also had lunch at the lovely main restaurant twice, with plenty of choices and beautifully presented food. There are other places to eat nearby, but my husband’s back was bothering him, so staying on site suited us and didn’t disappoint. Our loft room was fun, though the stairs could be steep at night, so it may not suit someone with mobility issues or small children. There are plenty of other room types. The hotel is quiet and conveniently near shops, restaurants, and other essentials, while about a 10-minute walk from the old town or a short Grab ride away. The old town is lovely but can get very busy. We visited in October and would definitely stay again.
