The room was spacious, and the location was convenient. Staff were courteous, but checkout left a bad taste: they charged us 100K VND for a hand towel with what looked like a pink lipstick stain, even though we hadn’t used it. When we said the mark was already there, they said we should have reported it at check-in. I asked whether towels go through laundry anyway and got no answer. Breakfast was also limited, especially if you don’t eat pork or beef. The toaster didn’t work, and there was no butter or jam unless we asked.

The chef and Yan Dan were kind, understanding, and helpful, and I appreciated that. The rest of our experience at Calix Hotel Danag was disappointing. The bathroom flooded, and the toilet was like a pool, which made showering difficult. At breakfast, most options contained pork, so my family and I couldn’t eat much because of our pork allergy. I hope the hotel improves these problems soon.

The breakfast buffet was good, and the room looked just like the photos on Agoda and Klook. My main complaint was the air conditioning, which didn’t get very cold even when I turned the temperature down. They also only supplied a limited number of water bottles.

The rooms were clean and looked much like the advertising photos, and the price for the room was excellent. The TV also had lots of foreign news channels that were easy to access. I’m sure the other sides of the building have amazing views.

There were cockroaches in the room, which was moldy, and the furniture was very old. The service quality didn’t match the high price. The male receptionist was very rude. My friends and I stayed here in November.
