Ha Binh Hotel Motel

The hotel has a great view, and from the room you can see planes landing. It’s in the city centre and reasonably priced. Checkout at 12 was handy, since some other places make you leave at 10:30. The staff were polite, spoke English, and were very helpful. Special thanks to Kim and quynh.

The card access stopped working at 11am even though checkout is listed as 12pm, which felt like an effort to push us out. Breakfast was crowded with Chinese and Vietnamese tour groups. By 8:30am the room was empty, the food was gone, and no staff were looking after the area. The rooms are old and deteriorating, unlike the photos, though they’re okay. Wifi was unreliable, not even 90% dependable, so don’t stay here if you need a steady connection. People smoked despite the no-smoking sign, which was a big issue for me. This was my worst experience in Vietnam. If you’re a foreigner or expat, I’d say book somewhere else.

Everyone was kind and smiling, and the welcome felt warm from the first day right through to our goodbye. The room service was really good, and I enjoyed spending time with the staff.

I booked this Danang hotel through Agoda with Pay at Hotel because my company requires a VAT invoice. I’ve used this arrangement at many hotels in Vietnam, where the property issued the invoice at checkout. Here, although I paid the hotel at check-in on 1 Dec 2025, they said they wouldn’t issue one and told me to get it from Agoda. I should have asked about the invoice before paying. On the morning of 2 Dec, they said they’d check with the accountant. Around 7pm, the same receptionist told me again to contact Agoda, and said the hotel couldn’t issue it. When I asked him to call the manager, he refused, saying it was late. I called Agoda, whose representative couldn’t reach the hotel and asked me to hand over the phone. The receptionist wouldn’t speak to Agoda and told them to call the hotel directly. When I asked for the hotel’s phone number, he told me to look it up online myself. Very poor customer service.
