Halina Hotel & Apartment

We stayed in a triple room for four nights, 13-16 Feb 26 and 18-19 Feb 26. The staff were hospitable and friendly, and checked how things were going during our stay. When we shared a few comments, they took them seriously and acted on them quickly. Rosie even went the extra mile and offered us a free ride to the airport. The location is great, with My Khe Beach just a one-minute walk away and lots of different places to eat nearby. Recommended for a pleasant family stay.

Good value for the money, and the location is great, but there were several things I didn’t like. The room smelled like a toilet, the bathroom like someone had recently smoked, and the towels smelled like BBQ 😅 They only gave us one 0.3 L bottle of water per person each day, which felt ridiculous. When we asked for more, staff said it wasn’t possible and that we’d have to buy it from the minibar. I explained that 0.3 L wasn’t enough, and they told us to refill at the breakfast buffet. We tried, but after half a bottle, which is 0.5 L, the staff angrily refused to refill the glass, so we couldn’t top up the rest of our bottles. I found that extremely rude. Other hotels give unlimited free water, but here it became a big issue. The gym had only a few dumbbells, and the pool was tiny, so don’t be fooled by the pictures. Breakfast was fine, but come for the location rather than the food.

If you’re not expecting fancy rooms or amenities, this is a good value place to stay. The rates are very good and breakfast is included. Staff are friendly, courteous, and helpful, and they give nice suggestions for where to go, eat, and what to do. There’s plenty of good food nearby, and My Khe beach is a few minutes away on foot. The hotel transport worked well for our group of seven, and Dinh, the driver, was friendly and helpful. Keep Google Translate handy, though. The day reception staff member speaks very good english.

The staff made our stay especially lovely. Rosie and Chuc were both friendly and wonderful, and Chuc was always smiling and seemed genuinely glad to see us each day. The location was ideal, with stunning views. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay.
