The woman who welcomed us spoke impeccable English, and everyone was really nice. You can borrow bikes for free, and there’s a quieter beach about 500 meters away. The “real” an bang beach is around 1 km away. The walls seemed a little thin, though. It’s a bit out of the way at the moment, with a more rural, local feel. If that’s what you’re after, this is a great time to come. For more activity nearby, look closer to the beach or hoi an, or wait until late 2019 when the area is a bit more developed. We had a very nice stay and would recommend it.

The host made us feel at home and brought us coffee and breakfast in the morning, which really touched us. The room was spacious and clean. It felt like staying in a rustic wooden house and living like a local. Book it, don’t overthink it!

It’s a great value, with lovely staff and a pleasant stay. You can hire bikes or motorbikes, and the beach is close by. The walls are paper thin, though, which is why I’m giving four stars. Also, if you want to stay in the centre of Hoi An, this isn’t the spot.

The owner and staff were so friendly, and they arranged almost everything for us, including trips, scooters and airport transfer. We had a wonderful time at the Wooden Lodge. Thanks a lot, keep it up.

I had to catch a ferry the next day, and the staff helped me get tickets for us and our bikes. They were so friendly. The room had plenty of space, the bed was super comfortable, and breakfast’s Cau Lau was delicious!
