Hoi An Central Boutique Hotel & Spa

This is a review of the spa. We’ll review the excellent hotel separately so we can give it the high rating it deserves. My husband had a full body massage with Vivian, and I had one with Anna. It was such a relaxing, pampering experience that we’re definitely going back for longer than an hour. Their massage techniques were so good at working out knots and helping us relax that the hour didn’t feel long enough. It starts with herbal tea and a soothing foot wash, then you lie on comfortable beds and the massage begins. You really need to experience the rest for yourself, and I strongly suggest you do. I highly recommend asking for Anna. I’ll be back, she’s A+++++.

The hotel’s location is lovely, close to the old town but away from its evening crowds and noise. The rooms are good and fully functional, though I wish the bed were more comfortable and less squeaky, and the pillows thinner. Service was excellent from check-in onward, better than what I’ve had at some five-star hotels. Everyone was welcoming and helpful. Special thanks to Rose and her breakfast colleagues for making things run so smoothly. The restaurant is very good, although the food could be a little better, especially simple dishes like pizza. I definitely recommend the hotel.

The pool was a great size and very clean, with loungers, sun umbrellas, and pool towels. Breakfast had a good range of food, and it was nice to eat outside under the veranda. We also used the laundry service, which was quick and fairly cheap: we dropped it off at 5pm and got it back early the next afternoon. The hotel is cute and about a five-minute walk from Hoi An old town and the Japanese Bridge. Our room wasn’t especially big, but it was clean, and the balcony overlooking the pool was a bonus. The staff were friendly and attentive. I’d definitely stay again.

The hotel’s location and the hotel itself are exceptional, and the staff are wonderful. I especially loved the spa. Sang gave me a two-hour massage that was both gentle and strong, one of the best I’ve had after trying massages in many parts of the world. I’ll definitely come back.
