La Siesta Hoi An Resort & Spa

The four pools had something for every age, with loungers in both sun and shade, and the huge rooms were spotless. We had a wonderful stay at La Suesta, and all the staff were amazing, especially Quynh (Chloe), who made our holiday extra special. The food was delicious, and we’d highly recommend the hotel. It’s about a 20minute walk to the old town, far enough away to enjoy some peace and relaxation. There’s also a free shuttle to the hotels beach club or town. We’ll definitely be back.

The buffet was the best we had during our travels through Asia, and the coffee drinks were fantastic. We also liked the restaurant, its food, and the attentive staff there. The resort itself is gorgeous, with comfortable beds and rooms, a well appointed lobby, and safe, enclosed grounds. The staff and rooms felt 5-star, and the spa did too, so make time for it. We’d absolutely choose this hotel again if we return to the area, and can’t recommend it enough. We didn’t travel with kids, so I can’t speak to those amenities. There were families staying there, though, and they didn’t interrupt our romantic trip at all. They had their own pool and activity areas, so I’d say either kind of vacation could work here.

The hotel sits just outside the beautiful old town, away from the hustle and bustle and some noisy traffic. Without stop signs or traffic lights, horn honking seems to be the official language of the roads. The hotel lends bicycles, so you can take a longer but much quieter, more scenic ride into town, which has a charming tropical colonial feel. We booked 4 nights at la Siesta during Tet. The gardens and foliage were the lushest and most beautiful I’ve ever seen at a hotel, a bit like Bali resort hotels. The pools and gyms were pleasant, and breakfast and other food offered a nice mix of western and eastern dishes. Service was excellent. Hoang was assigned as our guest experience manager, checked in with us every day, and was extremely helpful. My family and I were so impressed that we all agreed we’ll return.

We were in room 110, had breakfast every day, and ate dinner most nights at the restaurant right beside our room. It was lovely, and all the staff remembered our room number and faces. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Huang, I think that was his name, was especially polite and helpful. He wore a white top and walked us to our room when we first arrived. Thank you to all the staff. Everything was perfect, especially the people, and we can’t recommend this hotel enough!
