Minh Toan Galaxy Hotel Da Nang

My family and I were left without a place to stay in Da Nang, including our child, even though I had a confirmed, paid booking for one night. The hotel refused to check us in, saying there was a “technical issue.” We ended up driving four hours back home, and the whole family plan was ruined. I still haven’t heard a single apology from the staff. What a lesson. First time here, and never again. Some four-star hotel!

The breakfast room is spacious and comfortable, with a broad selection that should suit different tastes. Rooms are clean, functional, and well kept, and the staff were consistently polite and focused on service. The reception is also roomy and thoughtfully laid out, so handling guests seemed smooth even at busy times. For business trips, the location works well, with key parts of the city accessible and the beach about 4 km away. Nightlife is close too, including clubs and karaoke places such as ADM Club. The hotel felt like good value and a comfortable, efficient base for a short leisure visit as well.

Breakfast was meager, and the coffee wasn’t good. For such a huge hotel, it was strange that there wasn’t even a bar. I wouldn’t say the place was worth the money. The building has a Ceausescuesque feel, with enormous spaces. A lot of it seems to be ballrooms for smoky local weddings, and on most days of our four-day stay the machinery noise from there reached our room. Checking out the evening before an early departure turned into a mess. Staff apparently aren’t supposed to trust guests about minibar use, so we had to arrange an audit the next morning while our car was waiting. The personnel didn’t seem fully aware they were also running a hotel. I’d pay a little more and stay near the beaches on the other side of the river, where hotels have the basic amenities Western travelers expect. This one isn’t worth it.

Loved the place, it felt luxurious. Hanging out and swimming at the pool was fantastic ^^ I’m only sorry I stayed at the breakfast buffet so long. Super delicious 😋 Thanks to all the Staff for everything.
