Palmier Hotel - Art House Da Nang

The apartment is large and has potential, but the kitchen needs renovating. It was in very poor condition with humidity. In one unit they showed us, a drawer was broken, and the inside was disgusting with humidity and fungus. When I opened it and it fell to the floor, the cleaning lady started yelling in Vietnamese, clearly complaining, which made me uncomfortable. Our bathroom was broken too, with shower water leaking everywhere. The kitchen needs better tools if guests are expected to cook. One day we left at 1:00 pm and returned at 5:00 pm to find the room uncleaned. Two women at reception helped at least with clean sheets and the bathroom. The place needs better management and better cleaning staff.

The hotel is in a quieter part of town, near the mall and local eateries. The rooms were really clean, with very soft bedsheets, a handy smart TV, and great city views. The staff were friendly and helpful. We hired a scooter there for the day, and they cleaned our clothes too, which was a great service. I’d stay here again.

I booked this hotel because of the fireworks on May 30th, and asked about rooftop access since I’d be checking out during the day, before the evening show. The WhatsApp reply left me really disappointed. Instead of explaining the policy politely or trying to understand why I’d booked, they laughed at me and spoke in a condescending way, asking, “Why should I offer you a ticket if you leave on the 30th?” Even if free access wasn’t possible, there was no reason to treat a guest like that. It’s left a very bad impression.

Conveniently located and quiet, with a clean, comfortable room and genuinely friendly, helpful staff. I had a great stay and would happily come back to Da Nang. Thank you, Ms.Ngọc Ánh and Mr Trount, love you all ♥️💯🥰
