Pebble Homestay

The location of Pebble homestay is very convenient, and the owners, especially the young woman, were accommodating. But in person the rooms looked nothing like the photos here or on booking.com. We found bugs, and the room smelled mouldy and pungent. That was the final straw, so we asked for a refund. They charge for water bottles after the first three, which seemed odd because we'd never encountered that at other accommodation in Vietnam. There's no elevator, so you have to carry your luggage to your room. Ours was on the top floor, and hauling heavy suitcases up was exhausting and made a lot of noise that could bother other guests.

The homestay is lovely, with clean rooms, a beautiful location, and good value overall. The frustrating part was the noise from early arrivals. The entrance wall clearly says check-in is at 12 PM, but guests are often allowed in from 7 AM. People talked loudly, dragged luggage, and even shouted, so sleeping in was nearly impossible. This happened several times during our stay. If you're a light sleeper or want peaceful mornings, that may be a dealbreaker. It could still suit you if you're an early riser or don't mind being woken up.

The owner was really hospitable, and rooms were clean with aircon and a fan. It's in a quiet part of town, nicely away from the inner city's chaos, but still an easy walk in. You can arrange scooter rental and transport here too. All in all, a great experience!

I loved staying here. The room was great, the location was nice, and the people were wonderfully kind. It was very affordable too.
