The food-related service recovery was impressive after we had two cases of food poisoning, one from squid ink risotto at the R restaurant and another from soya milk at the breakfast buffet. Exec Chef Ron and Rstn Mgr Ms Hue came to our rooms with special porridge, ginger tea, and fresh coconut water, then checked on us every day. After we recovered, they still asked over the next few breakfasts whether special light meals might help. We’re very grateful. Without those incidents, we would have given five stars. The buffet had a huge range of cuisines and dishes. Over six days, we tried something different daily and nearly got through it all. The rooms were very spacious, clean, renovated, and like new, with prompt, good housekeeping. The pool was large and lovely, and the shallow, calm beach felt safe and suited families. A few suggestions on happy hour: the pool and R bar offers only last one to two hours and cover just one drink type each day, such as beer, daiquiri, or mojito. We travel widely and usually see better deals. A longer window, perhaps 12-6pm by the pool and 6-10pm at the bar, plus a wider choice, could encourage guests to stay, drink, and eat at the hotel, which is quite isolated. A small band could also help keep guests around and spending at the food and beverage outlets. I hope you’ll consider these thoughts from someone who owns a hospitality business. Thank you.

We ate at the lobby restaurant nearly every night. There weren’t many cuisines to choose from, but the food was excellent and surprisingly affordable for a resort like this. The massage and spa were amazing too, and well worth doing. Breakfast was another highlight, with a huge spread that covered many cuisines. The staff were kind, welcoming, and always ready to chat or help, and the rooms were very spacious and comfortable. It’s right on the edge of Hoi An, so getting around can be less convenient. The complimentary shuttle to and from the Old Town made that much easier, though you need to book ahead. The hotel could feel quiet, almost deserted in the corridors, perhaps because many guests were in the villas. Some floors had a noticeable smell, which we thought might be left over from the recent floods. The hotel had done a good job cleaning up quickly, and everything looked well maintained. I’d recommend staying here for the service, beautiful rooms, good food, and relaxing resort atmosphere, keeping in mind its quieter location.

I enjoyed the gym for basic workouts, the spa with its sauna, and activities like table tennis and billiards. There are also complimentary extras such as coffee tasting, tennis, and shuttles to the Old Town. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Giang at the front desk, Hong at the restaurant, and Heip and Trung at the doors. Housekeeping did a good job and were always smiling. The rooms are comfortable and modern. I took off one star for two issues. The Wi-Fi was unreliable: lobby speeds were fine, but it was slow in the room and pool area, and it kept cutting out. I wouldn’t recommend it if you need to work or take video calls. Also, the secluded beach area was nice to have, but there was a lot of rubbish and it wasn’t well maintained.

The breakfast buffet was easily the best part for us, with an excellent selection of fresh dishes and baked goods. The hotel restaurant was good too. We could reach the Old Town by taxi in around 15-20 minutes, and taxis were almost always waiting outside. Our room was very clean and well kept, with a large, comfortable bed. The pool was clean and cared for, and it was easy to get to the beach. Staff were consistently friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Hiep, Truong, Hannah, Anna, and Ly. We had a very pleasant stay and would highly recommend the hotel for its comfort and excellent breakfast.
