Sunny Ocean Hotel & Spa

There’s live music in this lively part of town, so it’s a good fit for younger guests or people who like to party. Even with that bustle nearby, our room was comfortable and housekeeping came every day. Everything was very clean, including the bathrooms, bedding, and rooms, with no bugs or mold. The internet was fast, breakfast was good, and the hotel is central. The staff were so friendly and excellent that I can name most of them. Highly recommend.

The free breakfast buffet ends at 10, but Ruby, Stella, and Mateo were kind when I arrived close to closing for a quick meal. They didn’t rush me or make me feel unwelcome. Ruby and Mateo often worked the omelette station, and the eggs were delicious. The cleaning staff also helped despite my “do not disturb” sign: they picked up trash or towels we left outside and brought replacement items. Susie and Henry at the front desk gave excellent service. Susie loaned us an umbrella when we arrived unprepared, recommended good food nearby, and helped accommodate our large group. When I needed distilled water for my CPAP machine, she called a medical supply store to check if it was in stock and offered to pick it up the next day. Checkout was easy, and staff helped weigh our bags and store our things until departure. Great location and a great experience.

We had a pleasant stay, with lots of walkable options nearby and very kind staff. Susie at reception was especially helpful and went above and beyond to make things work for our large group. The rooms were fine and clean. We booked the apartment for the extra space and kitchen, but were surprised it had no plates, pans, or utensils. The location was great and we were comfortable.

We stayed at Sunny Ocean Hotel for 10 days and were very happy with it. Our suite was spacious, and the beach was just a few minutes away on foot. Breakfast was okay, too. Special thanks to Gusmi and Henry for making the stay better. When a small construction site opened next door, Henry helped us switch rooms, and the move was handled smoothly in English.
