The Seaside Bungalow Hostel and Bar

Had a lovely time here and met some great people. It's a friendly, social hostel, and the owner really cares about the local dogs and cats she rescues and looks after. Town is about a 15 minute Grab ride away. My only gripe was having chickens right beside my room, so the 5am wake-up call was unavoidable lol.

I was traveling solo and had a great time here, meeting lots of awesome people. It's a very social place without feeling like a party hostel, and there's a mix of ages. Vy is a rockstar, though she could really use some good help. The room was big, but the beds were just okay. The beach is an easy walk, while town takes a drive, so the location isn't ideal for getting into town. Also, some nearby dogs aren't leashed and have bitten two travelers. Still, it's great value, and I highly recommend the hostel.

I came for a few nights and ended up staying a week or more. The place has such a relaxed feel, with the beach a short walk away, plus its own bar and private beach. I quickly got used to the animals roaming around. People are always hanging out somewhere, and I met some of the best people here. My bed was so comfortable that I slept better than anywhere else on this trip. We had great parties at the beach and pool. One night, ten of us played pool volleyball until 2am. The food was amazing, and the portions were huge. V, the owner and host, is a wonderful, caring person. She took time to learn my name and helped as much as she could with a personal situation. Most guests get to know her well. Just great vibes all around. If I get back to Vietnam, I hope to spend time here at the Seaside Bungalow.

The food was delicious, and there were cute animals everywhere. Vye was so kind and welcoming, and the whole place had friendly family vibes. It's the first hostel I've been sad to leave. Best one I've stayed at, and I'd definitely come back if I get the chance 🫶
