Water Palm Villas

The room and shared spaces were clean, and the staff were lovely. I also enjoyed the cao lau and milk coffee at breakfast. The curtain was very thin, though. The booking details were the real problem. I reserved the whole villa through a sales staff member, and the confirmation said there might be a 400,000-600,000 VND cleaning surcharge after a BBQ, depending on the number of guests and what I needed. I hadn't asked for cleaning, but when we arrived they said I had to pay 600,000 VND. I expected a kitchenette with bowls, chopsticks, and glasses when renting an entire villa, but those weren't there either. They wanted to charge for everything without explaining it. I tried to sort it out with the staff, but they didn't understand, and someone who may have been the host, owner, or manager called me. He hadn't checked the details with me first and said he could refund my deposit if I didn't accept. I was so angry. I was traveling with my family, including a six-month-old baby, and we arrived very late, around 4:30 pm. How were we supposed to find another villa at that point with older people and a new baby? They should try putting themselves in a customer's shoes. I was too upset to take any more photos.
