There are lots of tourists, but it still feels good to be able to say you made it to the top!

The room had a strange smell and felt scary. There were big holes in the toilet door 🤣, and the fridge looked frightening too. The mattress was basically a hard board, while the sheets and pillowcase felt really rough. At least the bathroom was clean and the hot water worked. The air conditioning worked too, and there was a hairdryer, TV, fan, and bathroom amenities.

We only stayed one night, and the location was handy, quite close to the train station. The room was clean, including the bedsheets, but it was a little run down. The bathroom door had a big hole and wouldn’t lock, and the room smelled of smoke. Nobody at reception spoke English.

Avoid this place. I stayed from Dec 19 to 20, and when I checked in as a woman traveling alone, the older receptionist tried to kiss me. It was completely inappropriate and left me feeling very uncomfortable. It ruined everything.

We probably wouldn’t have chosen this place if we didn’t have a 4am train. It’s a basic hotel near Dong Hoi railway station, the rooms were a bit dirty, and the front staff didn’t speak much English.
