Huyen Tram Guesthouse

We checked in early without any trouble, and our room had lovely mountain views. It was clean and quiet. The only small issue was the towels, which were very small, though they were clean and smelled good. 😂 Across the street, in front of the hotel, there’s a delicious restaurant that’s both cheap and really good!

The room was noisy enough that we could clearly hear the next guest talking, even using the toilet. It was dirty too: a soiled blanket, trash all over the balcony, and a used glass still holding the previous customer’s water. The staff weren’t enthusiastic. Terrible!

The owner apologized and was accommodating when we asked to change rooms, and returned 50,000VND. Even so, we still paid 850,000VND, and neither room was clean enough. The first one was in poor condition and smelled strongly of sewage, with huge stains on the sheets and pillows. The replacement was a little better but still had unclean facilities. The beds were very hard, and I didn’t sleep a wink.

The hotel was noisy, and the toilets stank. There was no drinking water or toilet tissue, and the bed linen was decidedly off-white.
