Emeralda Resort Ninh Binh

We ate dinner at the Oasis restaurant twice, and the goat curry is well worth trying. Yen (Jenna) looked after us so well and was very welcoming and friendly. Our tour to Bich Dong and Tam Coc with Mr Thong was fantastic. He shared lots of information, took care of us throughout, and brought us to a beautiful spot for lunch. He’s a lovely gentleman, and thanks as well to the driver. The setting is stunning, like a real oasis, and our room had a rustic charm. All the staff were great. We spent three wonderful nights at the Emeralda in Ninh Binh. The only downside was that a Vietnamese holiday fell during our last two days, so the hotel wasn’t the peaceful haven we’d hoped for. That was our mistake in planning. We’d definitely stay again and recommend it to anyone looking for a nature-focused hotel in a beautiful location.

Breakfast was included, with plenty of choices to make mornings easy. The mini golf was a fun way to spend a relaxed afternoon, and I liked having both indoor and outdoor pools as well as a well-equipped gym. The property is huge and feels peaceful and spacious. It’s a bit far from the main attractions, but the comfort and on-site amenities make up for that. For a resort stay with lots to do there, it’s a great choice.

The breakfast restaurant is especially beautiful, and the whole resort has a lovely design. It was nice to have free billiards and mini golf, and both the gym and pool were good. But some areas were dirty, including the shower, and we found rats and droppings outside our room. Also, nothing stays open after 10pm, so we couldn’t keep having a drink at the bar as we’d have liked.

Sau was wonderful. He guided us around Hang Mua to see the lying dragon, then took us on a boat ride along Trang An and to the Hoa Lu citadel. The location was great, breakfast buffet was delicious, and the staff were lovely. We had a fantastic stay at Emeralda Resort.
