The common spaces are a real highlight, surrounded by lush trees with a nice view of Halong Bay. There’s also a pool and a campfire spot that’s great for hanging out. The staff were super friendly and everything was clean. I stayed in the six-bed dorm, which was nice, though it lacked places to put personal things like a phone or toiletries. The lockable locker was big enough for a large bag. It’s a cozy hotel and hostel on a green mountain in Halong.

Kien and Trang really made the atmosphere here. They were so friendly and helpful, and both went beyond what I expected. The staff keep the place well maintained, and people like those two are rare these days. Look after them and this place will keep running well. Cheers, I had a great time and truly recommend staying here.

A relaxed, clean hostel with what I needed: a good bed, a small but nice breakfast, and helpful service. They’re happy to answer questions, and I’d definitely recommend staying here. Thanks for the hospitality, John!

For 5 Canadian a night, I had a clean, comfortable place to stay. The staff were friendly, and there were lots of fun events included, even free foot baths. Honestly, one of the best hostels I’ve stayed at.

The free beers at happy hour on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays made it easy to meet other travelers and enjoy the social vibe. The beds were comfortable after a day of exploring, and the rooms were spotless. Everything around the hostel was clean and well looked after. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make me feel welcome. Their service and those little extras made the stay memorable. I’d recommend it to anyone after a clean, friendly, fun hostel. I had a fantastic stay at Eco by May 5 Hostel!
