Central Luxury Ha Long Hotel

Breakfast had plenty of tasty choices in a huge restaurant. The room was newly built, nicely equipped, and had a king-size bed with two big TVs. There’s also a rooftop pool and a modest gym.

That sunset view from the room was amazing, and I liked the bathtub. The furnishings feel old, the buffet breakfast was poor, and the staff’s English was poor too. For a price at the five-star level, the service felt more like three-star. We gave up on breakfast there and went to a local restaurant instead. The buffet in the photos looked nothing like what we got??????

The rooms are really nice, and room service was very good. I liked the pool and bar, and the food was okay. It’s a long way from the centre, though, and you can get the same quality closer to Ha Long centre. A taxi there costs around 100k. The gym didn’t look like the hotel photos, so I’ve attached my own picture from August 2022.

The quiet, relaxing feel shown in the hotel’s video was the opposite of what we experienced. Hundreds of children and families made constant noise throughout the building, from the lobby and pool to the dining room, elevators, and every corner. Staying at a five-star hotel like that was shocking. It’s a shame, and I’m sure I won’t go back.
