The market nearby is lively all day, which makes the area busy. I enjoyed seeing the fresh fruit, flowers, and everyday Vietnamese life there. Song Loc worked for me as a place to sleep before heading out for daytime activities. The room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Coming from Thailand, where there are many good hotels, I’d put this one at about three stars.

The room’s air conditioning barely worked, and the fridge wasn’t cold. It had no temperature control and no freezer, so I couldn’t keep water cold for walks or sightseeing. I searched 15-20 shops for Coke Zero and couldn’t find any. As a diabetic, I get tired of drinking water. Breakfast was almost inedible for me. The bread and rolls were stale, and the pho had very little flavor. They seem to cater to Japanese guests rather than Westerners, so I just had two eggs. I also tried the restaurant, but it was dark until a woman turned on the lights, and it was hard to communicate about the food. The decor may look like a four-star hotel, but the experience didn’t, and I wouldn’t give it four stars.

I enjoyed the tasty breakfast buffet, and the prices were affordable. The rooms were clean and the staff were nice. Just check the pool and gym opening hours before you go, since they have set hours.

The shower drained very poorly, and there weren’t enough towels for both the evening and morning showers. When I asked reception for more, they refused. For a hotel rated four stars, the staff and service didn’t meet that standard. I was very disappointed and angry.
