The Watson Premium Halong Hotel

We spent two nights at the Watson, and I really wish we'd stayed longer. All the staff were so friendly and helpful, and they spoke great English. We got to check in early, and because we'd booked two different rooms for the two nights, they let us upgrade and stay in the nicer room the whole time. Everyone around the hotel was welcoming, including the pool and breakfast buffet staff. The man in the parking garage even helped put air in our tires before we left. The bed was comfortable and the shower had hot water with good pressure. The part we loved most was the rooftop pool. We basically spent the whole two-day visit lounging there, with comfy beds, a beautiful view, and food and drinks available so we didn't need to leave. The breakfast buffet was good and plentiful, with more than enough vegetarian choices for me. We had an incredible stay and would absolutely come back when we're in Ha Long.

The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully designed, with a stunning bay view that was perfect for watching the sunset. Breakfast was delicious and varied, with Vietnamese and European food, plenty of fresh fruit, and a good selection of drinks, coffee, and tea. The 25th-floor pool area is lovely too, with a panoramic view and a small bar for drinks. The hotel has a lovely standard, and the lobby is beautiful. All the receptionists were exceptionally friendly, especially Joyce, who spoke excellent English and took great care of us. She kept in touch on WhatsApp and offered help with anything we needed, which made us feel very welcome. I tried the hotel's massage service. Unfortunately, the treatment was too strong for my liking, though my husband enjoyed his and found it relaxing, just as the brochure described. We had a very good stay, and I truly recommend the hotel to other travelers.

The hotel is very close to the halong port, and the staff are extra friendly. Everything in the room was really clean, and the view was breathtaking. I loved the rooftop infinity pool and bar at night, it was so beautiful. We had a Swedish massage at the hotel spa. It was relaxing, though not the best, and the price was reasonable.

We visited in the low season, so the quiet pool and clean terrace suited us perfectly. The hotel is a little outside the center, but Grab makes it easy to get around. Our room was a good size, and the balcony with an ocean view was totally worth the money. The staff were attentive, helpful, and kind, and I felt really well looked after. Breakfast had a big selection, though I would have liked a machine for cappuccino and other coffees instead of just filter coffee. A small luxury problem 😉 We also tried the Vietnamese massage and were glad we did, it was well done and relaxing. I definitely recommend The Watson.
