Tien was a wonderful host and friend during my three days here. The rooms were clean, breakfast was good, and the stay was really good value. I'd come back anytime.

The photos make this place look better than it is. The room was big, but old and worn, and the air felt humid and suffocating. I had to keep the AC running all the time to feel comfortable. The bathroom smelled like sewage whenever I used the sink. I wouldn't come back.

The team gave us great service and were kind and helpful with everything. Our room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the location and price were both very good. I haven't found a place in Vietnam with this many positives so far, and I'd recommend it.

The room was spotless from top to bottom, and there’s free tea and coffee available all day. They also offer free breakfast, which we haven't tried yet, but pancakes and fruit are on offer, so I'm sure it's good. The welcome from the lady at the front desk and the gentlemen across the road was so warm. Staff were very hospitable. They let us wash our bottles in their kitchen and accommodated my fragrance allergies when I asked to wash clothes with my own detergent. If you're in Cat Ba, definitely stay here!

For $8, I got my money's worth. I arrived at 7:30am after a night bus, and the staff let me have breakfast and gave me a room key before 9am. It was functionally clean and had AC, though it took me a minute to work out that I had to put my room key in the switch to turn it on. The room and linens showed some wear, but it had what I needed, and the staff were so kind.
