Roza Palace

The location may be good, but this hotel wasn't worth the money. Our group had booked two nights, and one person even left the trip because the quality was so poor. My first room was tiny, with dirty sheets and such a dusty air conditioner that I moved the bed so dust wouldn't fall on my pillow. Reception said the hotel was full until I showed them on my phone that other rooms were available, and then they moved us. The ceiling in the new room started leaking the next night. In about ten minutes, my bed was completely soaked, so at 2:30 a.m. I had to change rooms. The man at reception just handed me a key and told me to move, saying maintenance would look at it the next day. No apology or anything. There were insects in the breakfast oatmeal too. Some rooms clearly need proper maintenance.

The staff made this stay for me. They were attentive and friendly, helped with recommendations and transport, and checked that I had what I needed. After a day out exploring, the outdoor area was a lovely place to unwind, and breakfast had a tasty range of choices. Roza Palace felt peaceful and was good value, with excellent service. I'd stay again and recommend it to anyone wanting a comfortable time in Cat Ba.

Cat Co Beaches are close by, a lovely spot to cool off or just relax. Roza’s Luxury hotel also has a lot on site, including a beautiful pool, a restaurant with options for different food preferences, a bar, and local tours. The staff were warm and welcoming from the moment I arrived, and made sure my needs were taken care of. Their hospitality was top tier, especially helpful while travelling in a new country.

The owner is a great laugh, loves good beer and making friends, and Thanh was the best bar staff ever. Everyone I met here was among the friendliest people in Vietnam. Cheap, very friendly, and a good pool. 10/10, I'd stay again.
