The rooms were big and clean, and the price was great. It's run by the same owner as the 'Advisor Family homestay' in the Old Quarter. The location is a bit far from everything, though it is near the famous ' Obama Bun Cha' restaurant, so be sure to check that out.

This is connected with the Advisor Homestay, but the hostel is far from the center. There's no private bathroom, and the price is way too high.

The owner is really nice. It's fairly new and could use some work, and it's tucked down an alley that's hard to find.

The shared bathroom is the main drawback. Each floor has one toilet and shower between two rooms, so privacy could be an issue for women, though the water pressure is good and the toilet is clean. The rooms are clean and pleasant, and for the price I'd come back. Staff are nice and leave you to yourself. They only change towels and sheets if you ask, but they'll do it with a smile. It's a bit tricky to find: look for the big orange bank on the street and take the alley beside it. There used to be lots of cheap places here, but now there seem to be only two or three.

My boyfriend and I had three pairs of slippers taken from the door. The guy in charge said he had told us to bring them inside, but he hadn't, and it was hard to believe he had since he doesn't speak English. He also made our breakfast differently from what we'd ordered the day before, every day. He didn't seem interested in understanding what we needed. The other manager was friendly, but I still can't recommend the place.
