The one thing going for this place was that it was near my workplace. I was in Hanoi on a business trip and chose Brandi Fuji Hotel myself for a 21-day stay, but ran into several major problems. There was no manager or owner available to discuss or resolve them, and the office staff only followed his messages. The air conditioning was centrally controlled, so I couldn't set the cold temperature I needed. My sleep was disrupted, which really disappointed me. They moved me to a bigger room even though I hadn't asked for one, because I wanted a colder room. Hotel staff also bothered me while I was sleeping to switch the A/C in my room. I received a dirty towel once, and on one occasion they provided only one bottle of water. They should have someone who can communicate in English.

Azumaya Hotel has Japanese-style architecture and service, and it's around 500 meters from Lotte Hanoi, near downtown Hanoi. The room rate includes drinks and buffet breakfast. There's also a small underground parking lot, and it's easy to get around from there.

I spent 7D6N in a Japanese-style room with a wooden floor, and the free laundry service was handy. The lobby smell wasn't comfortable for me. Watch out for motorcycles using the pedestrian area, especially when getting out of a van or Grab car and walking to the hotel in the evening.

The Wi-Fi was unstable, though that was a small issue. Everything else was very clean throughout, and the bedsheets and towels were white and looked new. The staff all did a great job, super friendly and helpful. Great location and an affordable price for a really good hotel.

The Japanese-style hotel has a comfortable bed and a bathtub, and the room is good enough. Breakfast was okay, good enough for the price, though it wasn't as good as at other Japanese-style hotels in Hanoi.
