Bao Anh Hotel

It’s a small hotel with a limited number of rooms, but it’s conveniently placed for getting around the city. The staff are friendly and helpful, and housekeeping keeps everything stocked and replenished.

The hotel is a long way from the city centre, though there are shops and restaurants nearby. The staff were friendly, too. Still, the drilling ruined my stay. On at least three mornings, it started at about 8:25 a.m. and was extremely loud and irritating. I couldn’t sleep or relax properly. I’ve never been woken by hotel noise at 8:25 before, and this was one of my worst hotel experiences.

The staff made my stay really enjoyable. Excellent place, and I’d definitely come back.

22/nov/2025 Don’t stay here if you’re a foreigner. I had a really frightening experience yesterday, even though the reception staff are lovely. They don’t have an EFTPOS machine, and their barcodes wouldn’t work after I tried several times. There was confusion about whether I still owed money, and nobody told me, so I left without realizing. I’m a kind person and always pay my bills, and I did pay once I found out. But they still wouldn’t let me leave. Men were yelling at me in Vietnamese, and I had no idea what was going on. They held on to my suitcase and kept me from getting out of the car. I was terrified. I missed two flights, one to Ho Chi Minh City and one home to Australia, and lost a lot of money. It was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The people involved were mean and rude, and I can’t recommend staying here. The bathrooms were dirty, with hair everywhere. I had to change rooms, and the floors were filthy too. People were spitting. Just a horrible place.
