The room had what I needed, and the price was more than reasonable. The location was great too, with good food tucked into an alley away from the busy streets. Most of all, the owner made me feel at home quickly after my previous booking let me down. She speaks great English and treated me amazingly well, helping me figure out where to go, what to do, and how to use my time. She even arranged my round-trip bus to ha giang, drove me to the bus transfer in the morning, called the company early when I messaged that my bus back to Hanoi hadn’t arrived, and found me a cheap taxi to the airport. I could keep going. Thanks for everything :D

What made this small family-run hotel special was the owners’ incredible hospitality. The room was small but clean, about what you’d expect for the price. They welcomed us warmly, and our first impression was the whole family watching a pivotal Vietnam vs Thailand soccer match on TV. They helped arrange a tour and bus trip to Cat Ba Island and gave us lots of useful advice about what to do there. When my partner got bad food poisoning, they extended our stay without hassle and shifted the tour dates so she could recover. One of the owners even paid out of pocket for rehydration salts from the pharmacy. Thank you so much.

The owners were friendly and ready to help with whatever we asked, and they shared useful information along the way. They also suggested very good tours to Hạ Long Bay and Sapa. The room price was reasonable, and it was convenient for walking around Phố Cổ, 36 Phố Phường. My family and I were very pleased with our stay. Strongly recommended.

There’s no elevator, and people cook on the ground floor, so the smell travels all the way up to the room on the 6th floor. The price is very low, though.

I stayed for more than six weeks. It’s in a great location, basic but clean, and the service was fantastic. A lovely family runs the place.
