The location is handy, with a big supermarket nearby, plus street sellers with fruit and vegetables and plenty of cafes and restaurants. I felt at home as soon as I arrived, and the clean private room is incredibly good for the price. There's also a small kitchen for making your own meals. I would've stayed longer, but the room was already booked. I noticed a few people staying for 2-3 weeks, so it seems well suited to longer visits. Highly recommend!
The bed was comfortable and came with a thick blanket, which I really liked, though it made a lot of noise whenever I climbed on or changed position. Light sleepers might have trouble. The hostel was very quiet, so there wasn't much chance to socialise. It works well for a night or two. The Old Quarter is a bit far, but Grab works fine.
The host is amazing, and the owner is one of the nicest, kindest people I've met. It's such a warm, quiet place, with a market right next to the hostel.
The painting lesson went really well, and the staff were a big help. My painting turned out great. The café itself is lovely, too, and the drinks are great.
