Eternity Hanoi Hotel

We had a pleasant stay, though the room window opened onto a staircase, which we didn't like. The hotel is handy for getting around, about a 6-7 minute walk to Hanoi train station and 15 minutes to the Hoan Kiem lake area. The facilities and amenities were okay, but a bit rundown.

The breakfast buffet had lots of choices, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian, and was very good. They also kept our heavy luggage safely for two days at no extra cost. The stay was comfortable, though the rooms are a bit small, so I wouldn't recommend them for a longer stay. The washroom, though, was clean and spacious.

The room itself was pretty good, and the woman at the front desk was very nice. Still, the location was a real pain as of March 2025. To walk almost anywhere, you had to squeeze through a chaotic construction alley nearby. I was here for five nights and spent a lot of time working in my room. Each day, when housekeeping came while I was working, I told them I didn't need service. Today, when I said that again, the cleaner pushed her way in, said the room smelled, filmed the small bag of rubbish I had, mostly ramen wrappers and water bottles, along with my hand-washed exercise clothes hanging in the bathroom, and quickly sent the video to someone. It felt very violating and was completely inappropriate without asking permission. I'd already explained through a translation app that the clothes were causing the smell and that I was going to send them to laundry that day. A really unpleasant experience.

The staff were kind and helpful, and the service was very good when I stayed here last time ❤️
