I really liked having coffee on the terrace and watching the street below. The room was comfortable, and the hotel sits on a fairly quiet little street just a couple of blocks from Hoan Kiem Lake, with cafés, restaurants, and spas close by. Breakfast at the neighboring hotel was excellent, too. Micheal, Tuan, and Tuyet were especially friendly and helpful. They had great suggestions for seeing Hanoi and helped arrange transportation. A lovely stay at Family Hanoi Hotel.

We booked a cruise through Booking, and the team helped arrange a round trip to Long Bay. The ride took two and a half hours in a luxurious, comfortable limousine, and it felt smooth and safe. The location worked really well, too: close to the lake and within walking distance of plenty of restaurants and shops, but not right in the middle of the bustle. Across from the hotel, pizza 4ps serves excellent Italian food. The red spaghetti and pizzas were perfect. The staff made this stay special. Both the morning and evening teams were lovely, kind, and always smiling. We arrived in the evening to a warm welcome, then found the room beautifully decorated. A little later, they knocked and brought a cake with candles. It really moved us. They do their work with care and are always happy to help. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Hanoi. The team alone makes it worth staying here.

The beds were okay and the room was clean, but the breakfast offered at the hotel next door was poor, with little choice in a very small restaurant. We were also disappointed by the booking photos. They showed a room with a large terrace, while the room we actually got had none. The hotel is near the city center, tucked into a back alley that gets very loud in the evenings and mornings. Sound comes straight through the doors, which have gaps of about 1 cm.

The room was a little snug, but clean and very comfortable for the price. Breakfast was a good standard, and the Old Quarter location made it easy to walk to most places. Rosie gave amazing service!
