Hanoi Antique Legend Hotel

The Old Quarter is probably the best area for tourists, and that’s where this hotel is. I love the place, and understand it only opened this year, 2017. The staff were very friendly and took care of all our needs. The morning breakfast buffet was pretty decent too, especially for such a small hotel. I’d definitely consider staying here again when I return to Hanoi.

The staff were extremely friendly and helped with whatever we needed, from SIM cards and money exchange to taxis and booking trips. The rooms were beautiful and very clean, with a large bathroom where you can enjoy a bath after a long day exploring Hanoi. Street noise was there, but the rooms stayed peaceful and quiet. Breakfast was complete, and there was also a good menu of hot dishes to order. The hotel feels like a little oasis in the middle of the city. It’s near the lake and the Old Quarter, but still on a fairly large street, and you can walk to everything. I’ve stayed at another similar hotel in Hanoi, and this place has it all, with an amazing price to quality ratio. Totally recommendable.

The hotel made a perfect base for exploring Hanoi and the surrounding area. You can book or arrange any excursions and tours you want through them at reasonable prices. Rooms are clean, with nice bathrooms, and the buffet breakfast has a full spread including soup and eggs cooked to order. The staff are genuine, welcoming, and attentive. They’re fantastic, and you won’t want to leave.

When my friends and I came back to Hanoi on an early bus, everything was closed at 4am. Even though we’d checked out a few days earlier, the manager let us rest in the upper part of the breakfast buffet area and offered us a complimentary shower. On checkout day, our bus to Sapa, a small village, was parked blocks away. The doorman carried my 20lbs bag all the way there to see us off. I’ve stayed at luxurious hotels, but their size can limit personal attention. I’ve never had service like this. Hats off to everyone at the Hanoi Antique Legend Hotel.
