Hanoi Golden Hostel

Rooms may not be what you'd expect at other hotels, but they're still okay for a good rest. The place is very accessible to Banh Mi 25, which everyone must try, and Tom recommended it. Tom gave us excellent service. There isn't an elevator, but he carried all our luggage up to the third floor. When we transferred from another hotel to their hostel, he even went to get our bags there. He was so kind to all his guests and gave us a map with tips on good Pho and other tourist spots.

The reception guys were helpful overall and arranged a bus for our next destination. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean, though the bathroom was fairly small and the shower a bit awkward. The laundry service was good.

We had a peaceful, quiet stay at Hanoi Golden Hostel. The location was great, and every employee was kind and accommodating. I'd recommend staying here.

The Old Quarter location was excellent for our three-night stay. Shops, a pharmacy, restaurants, and pubs were all close by, including Kmart for groceries. Hoan Kiem Lake, the church, and Beer Street were within walking distance. The room was a decent size and the beds were comfortable. Staff were friendly and hospitable. There were a few issues. The bathroom lock was broken at first, and although it was fixed later, the hook was too tight to use easily. They didn't provide drinking water, and the tap water smelled strongly of chemicals, like bleach. I ended up going to a hair spa to wash my hair. For the relatively affordable Old Quarter price, it's a decent option for one night, though still a bit on the pricey side.
