Hanoi Holiday Diamond Hotel

The location is prime, right in the middle of the Old Quarter, and there are amazing food options nearby. Be prepared for the constant smoke, though. If that bothers you, I’d stay outside the Old Quarter and visit instead. This place no longer identifies as the Diamond hotel, so the photos need updating. The bed was rock hard and came with just two pillows. The night manager, an older gentleman, said they were fully booked and couldn’t spare another. A small single room next door had its window open and appeared unbooked when we came back late that night. The day manager was very nice and gave us an extra pillow the next day. With my back already sore from traveling, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

The room felt open and bright, with a roomy patio that worked well as a balcony. There was a long bed, a couch, and a desk where I could use my laptop. The hotel is in a great spot, and it stayed quiet, with excellent soundproofing. The staff were friendly and helpful. I’d happily stay again.

We got free room upgrades for the family, thanks to the very friendly owner. The room was spacious, in good shape, and recently renovated. Definitely recommend it.

The hotel is within walking distance of Beer street, the Night Market, and other shopping streets and markets. They replace the towels, toiletries, and water every day. The rooms are fine, though they didn’t look quite like the photos.
