The location is great, and the staff are super nice and helpful. The rooms are OK, but make sure you get a good one. A huge shout-out to Miss Sabi, who helped us organize a lot and was a real asset during our stay. We had to switch rooms, and the new one was much nicer. Avoid the 2nd floor if you can: my kids were put there, their shower kept running out of hot water, and they heard noise from the cleaning areas. The cleaning trolleys were only about 3m from their door.

The location is fantastic, and the staff were consistently welcoming and helpful. The manager was especially great, offering to move us and doing everything possible to sort out any questions or problems. Breakfast was a little limited, though the staff did their best, and the upper-floor dining room has lovely city views. The room was the problem. Our “superior” room felt like a box: once the suitcases were inside, there was barely room to move, and getting to the bathroom meant climbing over the bed. The bathroom had a glass partition facing the bedroom with blinds for privacy, which felt a bit unsettling if you're not used to it. For a couple of nights on a business trip, or with very little luggage, it could work. The location makes it understandable that the rooms are small, but this was the smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in, and the superior room definitely didn't feel superior. Still, the hospitality was excellent, and I'd recommend it for a short stay when location matters most.

Ms. Sabi made arranging our outings easy, and even got us an upgrade to the boat for Ha Long Bay after booking the tour. We had a similarly good experience with the trip to Ninh Binh. The tours were a highlight, and we're grateful to her for organizing them. The accommodation was fabulous, with great food and knowledgeable staff in a central location. My family is pretty active, so we were out of town much of the time. We fit in some exploring early, around 6-7am, and again after our day trips, and still got to enjoy good street food and local specialties along the way. Thanks to the team!

That included breakfast was tasty and a great start to the day. We stayed three nights in early February, and the junior suite was comfortable with tasteful furnishings. The hotel is right by the cathedral, which made getting around really convenient.
