Hoang Cuong Hotel

The staff were very friendly, and the room was a decent size, though both the hotel and room felt a bit dated. The bathroom was old too, but had hot water. It was nice being close to Hanoi train Street, with a few restaurants within walking distance.

The rooms and facilities are a little old-fashioned, but we liked them and they were kept in good shape. The staff were friendly, and our room and bathroom were spacious. The location was good, and the airport taxi service cost less than Grab. You can also leave your luggage while you go out exploring.

I can't judge the hotel's quality because my reservation was canceled just a couple of hours before I was due to arrive in Hanoi. They messaged me about an electrical problem, but I doubt that's what really happened, since many tourists were in Hanoi then and hotel prices had risen sharply. The room price here went from 399,000 dong to 470,000, and I suspect the hotel didn't want to miss out on the higher rates. I had to book a more expensive place because weekend prices had gone up. There seems to be a chance your booking could be refused at any time.

There was no natural light or window in the room, and the refrigerator didn't work, which brought my rating down. Otherwise, the location was good, the room was a reasonable size, and the beds and bathroom were decent, with soap and other basics. The staff were relatively friendly.
