Hoang Long Hotel

The free breakfast doesn't offer many options, but it was handy on a business trip, and the food was good quality. This is a good budget hotel in a very convenient spot, with extremely helpful staff.

The room was damp and smelled of cigarettes and a casino. Cockroaches crawled on the walls, mosquitoes bit us all night, the bed felt like hard cardboard, and the pillows were practically nonexistent. Most of the outlets didn't work, and the ones that did wouldn't hold a charger for more than five seconds. Service was awful too. I asked the receptionist how much it would cost just to dry clothes I'd washed at my previous stay because some hadn't dried in time. They first quoted 200,000 Dong, then billed me over 500,000 Dong. When I challenged the girl who gave the quote, she acted as if she couldn't remember. We were also missing a bunch of clothes that were never returned. Worst hotel in Hanoi, maybe all of Vietnam. Avoid this dirty, terrible, deceptive place if you can. 0/10.

The air conditioning was nice, and it's an okay place to rest. Skip the vermicelli dishes, though, they were undercooked. The TV kept showing annoying notifications every five minutes or so, even when I pressed no.

The place doesn't match the advertisement, and I feel deceived. Anyone thinking of staying here should think twice!
