La Sinfonía del Rey Hotel & Spa

The rooftop terrace was a lovely place to relax, and during our stay it was all in great condition. Breakfast was another strong point, with plenty of choice and very good quality. Our room had no window, but the listing made that clear when we booked, so it wasn't an issue for us. We stayed three nights at La Sinfonia del Rey Hotel during our Vietnam round trip and were very happy with it. The staff were kind, attentive, and welcoming. Coming back each time felt nice, and the hotel always smelled amazing, which added to the warm atmosphere. We'd definitely recommend it to anyone staying in Hanoi.

The room was classy, clean, and cozy, and the location was wonderful. We also enjoyed the rooftop bar and its great views of the lake and city. We'll definitely be back. What stood out most was the staff. Everyone was attentive and treated our feedback seriously. We were already very happy with the service, and our suggestions were only for small improvements, nothing major. Their hospitality was unlike anything we've experienced. UPDATE: I was sitting by the terrace, relaxing, when Binh the concierge brought me a cup of tea without me asking. Incredible service! The hotel's 4.8 rating makes sense to me. The staff are attentive and friendly from morning greetings to opening doors whenever you go out. At breakfast, a concierge came to ask how my first night had gone. I mentioned light coming into my room at night, and she asked when I'd be out so someone could install extra curtains. Even the rooftop team opens the door every time you head to the toilet. There’s a big breakfast buffet with amazing coffee and fresh passion fruit juice. They also offer extra à la carte dishes for free, including fantastic Eggs Benedict. The rooftop bar has spectacular views, very good drinks that aren't expensive, and friendly staff. My room was spacious enough, beautifully designed, and had a huge modern TV, rain shower, quiet air conditioning, a comfortable bed, and pillows in different sizes. I loved the Nescafé coffee machine, and the minibar prices were reasonable, around 60 cents for snacks and beer. The lift is really fast and rarely leaves you waiting, which I appreciated after staying in larger hotels where that can be annoying. The location is perfect for exploring on foot. The main party road and many Michelin restaurants are five to seven minutes away. I can't work out why this isn't a five-star hotel, since the amenities and service are clearly at that level. I've stayed in five-star places with much worse service. We paid about 100€ a night. Vietnam may be cheap, but I was still stunned by what you get for your money here. Maybe this is standard in Vietnam, I don't know. I'd absolutely recommend it and would happily come back any day!

La Sinfonia Hotel was a great place to stay in Hanoi. On arrival, the staff welcomed us with drinks and helped with our luggage. They were very accommodating, and the room was clean. The whole hotel has a spa-like smell that made it feel relaxing, and the rooftop bar overlooking Ho Guom Lake was the highlight. They also held our bags while we went to Ha Long Bay, which was a big plus. I'd love to stay here again on a future visit to Hanoi.
