Lancaster Hanoi City Center Apartments

The security guards were genuinely helpful with the door and our luggage, but dealing with reception and sales staff was terrible. I was charged for spoons they said were missing, though I’m pretty sure they were in the room and I didn’t get a chance to touch them. The customer experience was below par for this price range in Hanoi. I could’ve stayed longer, but the poor service made me book somewhere else.

The doormen were nice. This was a clean, well-organized rental in a central Hanoi district’s living quarter, near Giang vo restaurant street and within walking distance of Giang Vo Lake. It also let us avoid airport congestion. Worth staying.

The one drawback was the small TV. Otherwise, the four-bedroom apartment I booked was huge, at least 2,500 square feet, and had everything one could think of. It was clean and luxurious, had all amenities, and offered great city views.

The daytime staff were fine, and the apartments are furnished well and fairly convenient. But the night counter attendant was rude and brushed me off when I’d left my card upstairs and needed help getting through the lift’s security access. He kept saying he couldn’t do anything until another person stepped in, and then suddenly he had a lift card. I later heard another tourist had apparently run into the same thing. Not a pleasant stay, and I wouldn’t really recommend it. Thanks for the hospitality.
