Mat Retreat

Even with several rainy days, we had a lovely stay because our host worked hard to keep us comfortable and feeling welcome. She even helped us deal with the mosquitoes, which come with being in such a natural setting. The rooms were clean, the food was great, and she was easy to reach whenever we needed something. It would have been perfect with better weather, but her hospitality meant the rain didn’t spoil the experience at all. I’d recommend this place to anyone who enjoys nature and thoughtful service.

Getting there means navigating a narrow access road, though the resort is still easy to reach and only about an hour from central Hanoi. Once there, the trees and quiet surroundings make it feel like you’re staying in a forest, with modern comforts still in place. It’s a calming spot, and the clear night sky is full of stars. Staff respond quickly, with most room requests handled within minutes. A refreshing place to unwind.

Our host made the stay feel like visiting family. Nothing seemed like a hassle, and she took care of our requests, shared great recommendations, and brought extra snacks so we could try local produce. The food was some of the best I’ve eaten in Vietnam, and there was more than we could finish. We also loved the clean, roomy bungalow and the warm pool with its amazing view. We booked at the last minute and were pleasantly surprised by how good the retreat turned out to be. I’d gladly stay again and recommend it to other travelers.

The bungalow has a lovely design, and the view and pool area are beautiful. The staff were friendly too.
