I left on the first day because the room smelled so awful it gave me a headache. I asked to move, but they wouldn't change my room. The shower was weak and never got hot, the bed was so short my feet stuck out, and noise from outside kept me awake until midnight.

The room was clean and the location was great, right by Train Street and close to lots of local cafés and restaurants. Staff were friendly and helpful. We do recommend the place, with one exception: the laundry service. I should've checked the price first, but didn't, and was charged 250k dong. Laundry usually costs me around 120k dong at professional wash places. The clothes also came back still a bit damp and smelled after a day. When I asked how much they charged per kilo, the woman couldn't give me a clear answer. I don't think they weighed it or priced it that way, since she only said we had a lot of clothes.

In the old quarter, the hotel is in a good spot and the prices are decent. Giang arranged a scooter for me to explore Hanoi and was very helpful.

I spent two nights here on my own. It's a good budget hotel in the middle of Hanoi's old town, and the staff were nice.
