Narcissus 2 Hotel & Apartment

After a sleepless night at our original Old Town booking because of the noise, we moved here and had the best stay. The place is huge and spotlessly clean, and we couldn't hear noise from either the street or the hallway. It worked perfectly for us, with Train Street, the Old Town, the museum, and the lake all around a 10-15 minute walk away. The front desk woman was lovely to us. We used Google Translate to talk since she doesn't know much English. Maybe that language barrier explains why some reviews about her are negative.

My wife and I stayed here for two days, and it was wonderful. We got in early and they let us check in ahead of time. The location is also great, within easy reach of the main attractions. I'd recommend it and would gladly return.

Everything was going well until the owner came into our room while we were resting and decided to move our belongings to another room. Apparently other guests wanted to be on the same floor as their friends. Luckily we were there. They didn't even knock to check first, and seemed set on moving our things and telling us afterward. That wasn't okay.

The rooms have a kitchen, utensils, and even a washing machine. The hot water and pressure were good, and it's near Railway Street. The place is clean, the staff are friendly, and there are a few good places to eat nearby, including a halal Singaporean restaurant. There's also a convenience store right across the street. Recommended.
