OYO 653 Huong Thao Hotel

I arrived in the evening after my flight and was let into the room. When I went out to buy water, the front desk said I owed 300,000VND, more than my booking price. I showed them the Agoda booking and my card statement, which showed I'd already paid. They said they knew nothing about it, accepted cash only, and told me to contact Agoda for a refund. I returned the key and said I'd find somewhere else, since I wasn't paying twice. They then said I couldn't leave without paying 150,000vnd because I'd been in the room for less than an hour. I managed to negotiate it down to 100,000vnd and paid to avoid a scene in a foreign country. That's still nearly half the original booking cost again. Agoda also refused my refund after the hotel told them I hadn't arrived. Don't book here, you could get scammed like I did.
