The room was quiet, comfortable, and stocked with everything you might need, with a beautiful view as well. The hotel itself is beautiful, the breakfast was fantastic, and the staff were very friendly. I also liked the pool, which is covered to keep the sun off if you want, and the gym is large and well equipped. It's a short walk to the lake, with lots of amenities and restaurants nearby, and only a very short cab ride to the French district. I've visited Hanoi many times and prefer this area to the French district, though it's an easy, quick trip if you want to go there. In the mornings, numerous tour busses come by to pick up guests. I didn't take any tours, but it looks like you can head off to places such as Ha Long Bay day trips right from the hotel front door. Really enjoyed my stay and would definitely come back. I'd highly recommend it to anyone visiting Hanoi.

The buffet presentation really stood out. Everything looked fresh, light, and delicious, and it was all displayed and stored with care. At the Level 17 club lounge at pan pacific hotel Hanoi, you can also order specialties made fresh. I had one of the best breakfasts of my life there, anywhere, and it was extremely good.

The breakfast buffet was good, though the staff seemed stretched thin and it could be hard to get someone to bring coffee. I also liked the pool, but the locker rooms and spa were dirty and poorly maintained. The locker room toilets were soiled, there were no hand towels, and rubbish was on the counters and floor. The steam room had what looked like rust spots, and the herbs stuffed into its vent looked like old, wet leaves from a compost bin. We stayed at the Pan Pacific Hanoi from 15-20 January 2026. I picked it for its 5-star rating, familiar chain, and spot near the Old Quarter that still seemed far enough from the bustle for a break. Our Deluxe Lakeview room was much smaller than the photos suggested. Its furniture was scratched and dated, and the carpet didn't look clean. It wouldn't have suited my partner and me for five nights. We upgraded to a suite to get more space and avoid the hassle of finding another hotel. It was roomier, but the furniture was still worn and old. There were very few outlets, none beside the bed, and the HVAC barely helped. Even set to 16°C, the room felt hot and muggy. For what I paid, it didn't feel like a 5-star stay. If you're looking for a high-quality 5-star experience, I'd strongly suggest staying elsewhere.

We found it easy to get around from Pan Pacific Hanoi, with the city center and attractions nearby. The area was still peaceful enough for a quiet visit. Our room was clean, modern, and comfortable, and the amenities felt thoughtfully arranged and well cared for. Staff were consistently friendly, professional, and ready to help. It made for a relaxing, memorable stay, and I'd recommend it to visitors who care about comfort, service, and location.

We were six people sharing three rooms, and the rooms were spacious and pleasant. Some had lake views. The staff were courteous and friendly, and we tried the lobby coffee shop, Ming for dinner, and Summit for evening drinks. Summit's rooftop setting has lovely city views and works well for an evening out. Ming had plenty of Cantonese dishes, served quickly and with a friendly touch. The one drawback was distance from the Old Quarter, so we needed a cab to go back and forth. It was a very good experience overall.
